About The Plantrovert

Hello, I’m Felicia, aka The Plantrovert.

I created The Plantrovert for beginners who want plants in their home, but do not want the stress that can come with keeping them alive. Plant care should not feel like a test you are failing. It should feel like a gentle routine that gives something back to you.

I was not always a plant person. For a long time, my “plants” were plastic. They looked cute, required nothing, and they never died. When I finally brought home real plants, I expected decor. What I found was something deeper.

Like a lot of people, I have carried heavy seasons. I have lived with depression, and I have ADHD, so overstimulation can hit hard. The world is loud, fast, and demanding. Plants became a way to return to myself when everything else felt like too much. Caring for something living taught me patience. It taught me consistency. It taught me how to slow down. It taught me that quiet can be healing.

There is something grounding about the smallest plant moments. A new leaf. A tiny root. A plant that finally perks up after you figure out what it needed. Those little wins matter, especially when life feels intense. Over time, I realized that when you learn how to care for plants, you also learn how to care for yourself with more softness and less judgment.

Plants also support our wellbeing in real ways. Research shows that being around plants and nature can help lower stress, support mood, and improve focus and mental fatigue. Indoor plants can also improve indoor air quality in certain conditions by helping remove some volatile organic compounds. Even when the science gets nuanced, the everyday experience is clear: a home with plants feels calmer, warmer, and more alive.

That is where biophilic design comes in. It is the idea of bringing nature into your space, not for perfection, but for peace. A plant-filled corner, a cozy shelf of greenery, a window that feels like a little sanctuary. Your home can be a place that helps you exhale.

My mission is to make plant care simple, nonjudgmental, and actually doable for real life. I want beginner plant parents to feel confident instead of anxious, and supported instead of overwhelmed. I also want to help you create a peaceful, plant-filled sanctuary at home, a quiet safe space to relax in a world that asks too much.

If you are learning, growing, or just trying not to kill your plants, you’re in the right place.
